Today we took advantage of a break in the rain to go for a long walk. We started right outside the house and headed towards Avenue de l’Océan.

We continued towards Bourg-de-Moliets (‘Bourg’ is the name given to the (original) town centre in small towns). Then we turned left into the forest. It had been quiet before, but now there was absolute silence. In the distance, we could hear the surf. Strong winds and high waves (3-5 m) had been forecast.

We passed Courant d’Huchet (a small river coming from Léon that flows into the sea at Moliets. In summer, it is a meeting place for canoe trips and walks along the riverbank.

On the beach, there was plenty of wind. And kite surfers. Ideal conditions. We were thrilled.
